Stjepko Mamic

About the Artist…

Capt.Stjepko Mamic, both a painter and ship captain was born in Dubrovnik, Croatia ,

An ancient city full of art and surrounded with sea. From his early childhood he was inspired and motivated to express and prove himself as painter. His paintings are unique, bursting with colors created with a palette knife in strong strokes, full of light and positive energy.

He used different media, such as oil or acrylic colors and mixed media with glowing effects.

After thirty years of sea service, he returned to homeport and continues to work as a full time freelance artist and continue to improve his technique in academy d’ arte in Florence, Italy.

He is a member of Croatian Association of Artists – Dubrovnik.

Having both, group and individual exhibitions in his country and abroad, his artworks can be found in private collections all over the world.

Presently he is preparing a new cycle that will be shown at his next exhibition in London in early November 2014.
